Reclamation work has been completed at the Fish Creek
Tipple Site. No coal trains were observed during the inspection and processing waste was being disposed of at the
RDA expansion.
OTHER (SPECIFY):
This was a partial coal inspection of the Foidel Creek Mine conducted by Jason Musick of CDRMS. Jerry
Nettleton of TCC accompanied the inspection. The weather was clear and the ground was dry.
PROCESSING WASTE /COAL MINE WASTE PILES — Rule 4.10 and 4.11
Drainage Control; Surface Stabilization; Placement:
Refuse material continues to be placed in the RDA expansion area. A small amount of material has been
stockpiled at the toe of the RDA expansion area and approximately midway in the RDA with evidence of grading
having been conducted during the inspection. The RDA was well compacted and stable at the time of the
inspection. The refuse material had not yet reached the head of the under -drain of the RDA. The exposed under -
drain was stable and constructed as designed. Phase 1 of the RDA expansion is nearing completion. TR67 was
approved with a stipulation that future bonding for each phase of construction will be required prior to the
initiation of the next Phase.
The first bench is near elevation with the surveyed stakes identified on the RDA. The out slope of the first bench
requires additional clean up when the lift approaches the toe of the RDA. According to Jerry Nettleton of TC,
piezometers will be installed during the summer of 2012 in the RDA.. No problems were noted with the exception
of the following:
- erosion was observed on the southwest slope leading to the RDA Expansion area from the existing RDA.
Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year: 11
Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year: 4
Page 2 of 5
