R. Blending Bins: File No. C-017-81
Dear Jim,
Enclosed are the calculations involving the addition of the disturbed
land (0. 11 acre) to the 396-001 pond system.
The present system has been designed as requiring 3.26 acre feet of
storage (four ponds in series) . The as-built clean pond capacity is 3.89
acre feet, giving some 0.63 A.F. of extra storage. With a newly disturbed
area of 0. 11 acre, this would mean 0.1 AC disturbed equals 0.6 A.F. of
storage, far above the guidelines of 1.0 AC disturbed equals 0. 1 A.F. of
storage.
See enclosed copy of Table II-B-App.-7 Att, 3 and copy of physical
survey of sediment ponds; both these tables with a map will follow shortly
in a letter from John Turner certifying as built sediment ponds.
If you have any questions please contact me.
Sincerely,
Environmental Coordinator
DWBowman:ms
Enclosures
