Small Area Exemptions.
Dear Mr. Mathews:
Mid-Continent Resources, Inc. requests a technical revision (TR-20)
to permit C-81-017 which would approve small area exemptions for
six areas at the Coal Basin mine site.
FOR WHICH EXEMPTION S ARE REQUESTED.
1. Mine No. 3 fan area at southwest end of pad.
2. Outsl©pe at rock tunnel fill next to south fork of
Dutch Creek.
3 . Outer slopes of southeast end of the berm behind
the district office.
4. South portal at No. 1 Mine.
5. Topsoil pile at 016 pond.
6. Substation - No. 1 portal.
These areas have been identified in NoV C-90-052 as requiring small
area exemptions.'
' NoV C-90-052 also required completion of repairs to the
sediment control system for the Sutey topsoil piles. These repairs
have been completed. Lumber has been removed from the "lumber
storage area" near the road C crossing. Mid-Continent does not
believe a small area exemption is required for this area which is
otherwise undisturbed.
