The technical revision was submitted by Mid- Continent Resources, Inc., 818 Colorado, P.O. Box 1298, Glenwood Springs, Colorado, 81602 for their mine facilities located approximately 4 miles west of Redstone, CO. The permit area is located in Section(s) 31 and 32, T9S, R89W; Sections 4 -11, 14-21, 28 -30, TI0S, R89W; Section 36, T. 9S, R9OW; Sections 1 -2, 11 -14, 23 -25, T10S, R9OW; all in the 6th P.M. In Pitkih and Gunnison Counties, Colorado. The surface of the mining permit area Is owned by Mid - Continent Resources, Inc. and the United States (U.S. Forest Service). U.S.G.S. 7.5 minute quadrangle maps of Placlta and Elk Knob contain the described area of the proposed operation. A coal loadout facility located approximately 1 mile east of Carbondale, Colorado in Garfield County Is not affected by the proposed revision. The revision concerns erosion and sediment control for mine bench outslopes.
