If the bid is telephoned, a hard copy of the bid MUST also be mailed to the Division of Minerals and Geology by 4:00 p.m on July 25, 1997. Award will be made to the responsive,and responsible bidder based on the lowest Unit Price, and on ability to meet other specifications, conditions, and requirements identified herein. Delivery will be a factor in the award of business. The vendor shall furnish a signed statement certifying that the seed is from a lot that has been tested, within the nine months immediately prior to delivery, by a recognized seed testing laboratory to certify the guaranteed percentage of germination of the seed lot. The agency (Division of Minerals ands Geology) reserves the right to inspect the seed to be mixed and to monitor the mixing process, on site, at the time it is mixed. The vendor shall notify the agency(Jim McArdle or Yvonne Brannon) (303) 866-3567 at least one week prior to mixing to allow the agency the opportunity to arrange for inspection of the seed and monitoring of the mixing process by a representative of the agency. The computations for quantity of seed required shall be based on the percent of certified purity and percent of certified germination. The formula used for determining the quantity of Pure Live Seed (PLS) shall be: Pounds of Seed X (Percent Plurity X Percent Germination)= Pounds of Pure Live Seed (PLS).
