If the bid is telephoned, a hard <br /> copy of the bid MUST also be mailed to the Division of Minerals and Geology by 4:00 p.m on <br /> July 25, 1997. <br /> Award will be made to the responsive,and responsible bidder based on the lowest Unit Price, <br /> and on ability to meet other specifications, conditions, and requirements identified herein. <br /> Delivery will be a factor in the award of business. <br /> The vendor shall furnish a signed statement certifying that the seed is from a lot that has been <br /> tested, within the nine months immediately prior to delivery, by a recognized seed testing <br /> laboratory to certify the guaranteed percentage of germination of the seed lot. <br /> The agency (Division of Minerals ands Geology) reserves the right to inspect the seed to be <br /> mixed and to monitor the mixing process, on site, at the time it is mixed. <br /> The vendor shall notify the agency(Jim McArdle or Yvonne Brannon) (303) 866-3567 at least <br /> one week prior to mixing to allow the agency the opportunity to arrange for inspection of the <br /> seed and monitoring of the mixing process by a representative of the agency. <br /> The computations for quantity of seed required shall be based on the percent of certified purity <br /> and percent of certified germination. <br /> The formula used for determining the quantity of Pure Live Seed (PLS) shall be: <br /> Pounds of Seed X (Percent Plurity X Percent Germination)= <br /> Pounds of Pure Live Seed (PLS). <br />
