will be reflected in a lump sum bid under Item 2 on the Bid <br /> Schedule. This lump sum bid will cover all costs for structural <br /> demolition and removal of rubble and debris from each work area, <br /> described above, to the disposal areas. Payment shall be made as <br /> this task is completed and approved by the PROJECT MANAGER. <br /> TASK 5 ADDITIONAL DEMOLITION <br /> The ripping required to be performed during Task 2, Demolition, may <br /> reveal subsurface foundations, footers and other reinforced <br /> concrete structures. These subsurface structures shall be removed <br /> at the sole discretion of the PROJECT MANAGER. Any such structures <br /> encountered shall be demolished to a depth of three feet (31 ) below <br /> ground surface as measured from the ground surface immediately <br /> adjacent to the structure. All rubble produced as a result of the <br /> demolition of these structures shall be removed to either the West <br /> or Central Work Area disposal area. Disposal shall occur as <br /> described in Task 2, Demolition. <br /> Measurement and Payment <br /> Payment shall be made by the cubic yard to be demolished and <br /> disposed of. Cubic yardage shall be determined by PROJECT MANAGER <br /> and CONTRACTOR prior to initiating demolition. Payment shall be <br /> made at the unit price bid in Item 5 of the Revised Bid Schedule. <br /> The unit price bid in Item 5 of the Revised Bid Schedule shall <br /> cover all costs for structural demolition and removal of rubble and <br /> debris from each work area to the disposal areas for subsurface <br /> structures discovered as a result of ripping operations. Payment <br /> shall be made as this task is completed and approved by the PROJECT <br /> MANAGER. Payment for this Task will be made only for the unit <br /> price shown under Item 5 of the Revised Bid Schedule. <br /> 5 <br />
