2. General Liability (Public Liability & Property Damage) (Minimum); <br /> a. Combined single limit of$600,000 written on an occurrence basis; <br /> b. Any aggregate will not be less than $1 million; <br /> C. The contractor must purchase additional insurance if claims reduce the annual <br /> aggregate below $600,000; <br /> d. The State of Colorado must be named as additional insured on each <br /> comprehensive general liability policy; <br /> e. Certificates of insurance must be provided to the State within 10 working days <br /> after receipt of Award; and, <br /> f. Insurance shall include provision providing notification to the State 10 days <br /> prior to cancellation of the coverage. <br /> 3. Automobile Liability (Minimum). The contractor must carry a minimum of$600,000 <br /> combined single limit. <br /> Work Description <br /> The attached General Conditions for Purchase Orders and Purchase Order Terms and <br /> Conditions apply to all work. <br /> The purpose of this project is to initiate a control strategy for noxious weeds within certain <br /> portions of the Coal Basin Mine. Funding for this project is mainly derived from grant monies <br /> provided by the Colorado Department of Agriculture, and administered by the Division of <br /> Minerals and Geology. The herbicides to be applied are provided by the U. S. Department of <br /> Agriculture, Forest Service as partners in the grant application. <br /> CONTRACTOR shall apply specified chemical treatments for the purpose of controlling <br /> noxious weed infestations at the Coal Basin Mine. The species of noxious weeds to be <br /> managed at this location include Plumeless thistle (Carduus acanthoides), Canada thistle <br /> (Cirsium arvense) and Houndstongue (Cynoglossum officinale). <br /> The Project is scheduled to begin on July 6, 1998. It is anticipated that the project will be <br /> accomplished in no more than four (4) consecutive working days. <br /> The Coal Basin Mine is being reclaimed by the State of Colorado, Division of Minerals and <br /> Geology. The mine is located four miles west of Redstone, and is accessed by paved road. <br /> Roads on the mine site are improved dirt. <br /> The Project area is approximately twenty acres in size, but is not contiguous in nature. The <br /> attached map shows the approximate locations of noxious weed infestations. Each of the areas <br /> is to be treated.
