Currently, <br /> reclamation activities are performed under the supervision of the Division of Minerals and Geology, Office <br /> of Active and Inactive Mines, and are funded by proceeds from bankruptcy proceedings. <br /> The Division is soliciting telephone bids from interested contractors for the purpose of conducting spring <br /> and run-off maintenance activities at Coal Basin Mine. Work which may be accomplished includes culvert <br /> and ditch maintenance,flood control activities, erosion control work, placement of rip rap materials, earth <br /> work, placement of temporary sediment control measures, snow removal operations and other <br /> maintenance activities as necessary at the mine during snow melt run-off. This is anticipated to be a <br /> short-duration project. <br /> Enclosed are a project description,three maps,the General Conditions and the Purchase Order Terms <br /> and Conditions and Bid Schedule. <br /> The General Conditions apply to this job. No bid bonds are required. <br /> Site Showing <br /> There will not be a site showing. Please refer to the attached maps for the site location and anticipated <br /> project areas. <br /> Bid Submission and Evaluation <br /> Bids shall be submitted by 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 18, 1999 by mail,fax or in person,to Yvonne <br /> Brannon at the Division of Minerals and Geology.The fax number is (303) (832-8106). Telephoned bids <br /> will NOT be accepted. Bids shall include a total price and a price for each bid item. <br /> Bids will be evaluated by comparing the grand total on the enclosed Bid Schedule. For each piece of <br /> equipment, silt fence, rip rap or straw bale, multiply the quantity by the unit price. Enter this price in the <br /> Total Cost column. <br /> Bid Award <br /> The apparent low bidder must sign and submit the attached Bid Schedule, and a certificate of insurance <br /> with the following limits: <br /> 1. Standard Workers Compensation and Employer Liability, as required by State Statute including <br /> occupational disease,covering all employees at the work site. <br />
