project, and will be supplied by CONTRACTOR. Seed will be supplied by the OWNER. <br /> All areas disturbed during reclamation work and any other areas specified in these <br /> Special Conditions will be revegetated according to the Revegetation Specifications in <br /> the General Bid Specifications Section 20.0, except as modified by these Special <br /> Conditions. All areas will be seeded with the "Mine Site Seed Mixture", (Table 1). <br /> Due to site conditions, no revegetation efforts may be initiated prior to September 14, <br /> 1998. <br /> In addition to the revegetation specifications outlined in Section 20.0 attached, the <br /> following requirements will be adhered to: <br /> Seed <br /> Seed will be provided by the OWNER. CONTRACTOR must give the PROJECT <br /> MANAGER at least ten (10) working days notice of the acreage to be seeded, so that <br /> the proper amount of seed is delivered. <br /> Fertilizers <br /> Commercial fertilizer is required for this project. Fertilizer shall be provided by <br /> CONTRACTOR, and shall conform to Section 20.2 (commercial fertilizer) of the <br /> Revegetation Specifications, attached. <br /> Seedbed Preparation <br /> Seedbed preparation is required, and shall be accomplished as described in Section <br /> 20.3 of the Revegetation Specifications, attached. <br /> Mulches <br /> Mulching is required for this project. Mulch shall be provided by CONTRACTOR, and <br /> shall conform to Section 20.2 of the Revegetation Specifications, attached. All mulch <br /> shall be certified as noxious weed free or noxious weed seed free by any authorized <br /> State or County Officer. Documentation of certification shall be provided to the <br /> PROJECT MANAGER prior to application of mulch. <br /> The CONTRACTOR will supply the fertilizer (commercial), mulch, and equipment for <br /> chiseling, fertilizer application, seeding, mulching and crimping. Revegetation efforts <br /> will occur on approximately two and one half acres, which includes all areas disturbed <br /> during performance of this Project. <br /> Broadcast application of seed and fertilizer and mechanical mulching and crimping is <br /> preferred. Hydro seeding and hydro mulching is acceptable. If hydro seeding and <br /> hydro mulching is selected, the seed and fertilizer will be applied in a first application, <br /> and the mulch applied separately. Seed application rate will be double the drill seed <br /> application rate (Table 1, Mine Site Seed Mixture) for broadcast and hydro seeding <br /> applications. <br />
