Reclamation Accomplished During 2011:
No reclamation was accomplished during 2011.
On 10 May, 60 Douglas fir, 120 ponderosa pine, 100 chokecherry, and 100 wax currant were
planted in scattered groupings on Site B which was filled, recontoured, and reseeded the previous
summer.
Roads have not been removed. They provide access for Sites A and C that are still being mined.
About 85 percent of the trees and shrubs from prior years are showing good survival and good
growth. Seeded areas are growing slowly but show good coverage. The last three seasons have been
very dry. Fortunately, no severe erosion has occurred. Berms and cross -slope logs are in place.
All other sites under this permit except Site C which is open for operations and Site B with a portion
of Site A which is less than one year reclaimed, are at 80 percent regrowth and considered
complete.
Proposed 2012 Operations:
Operations will be in conjunction with operations on T. D. Minerals claims, Quist claims, and
Crystaljack mining claims between mid April through the end of July and be conducted primarily
using a John Deer 992 and/or 690 track hoe. The prospect on the Take Five claim will be opened
and checked for mineralization. Operations on the Smoky Hawk will extend Site C to the southwest
corner. Site D will be opened with a portion remaining open after making it safe for winter.
Site visits, including mineral extraction, reclamation, and claim maintenance will be continued
throughout the season.
Anticipated 2012 Disturbances:
Approximately 0.2 acre will be opened on the Take Five. Approximately 0.4 acre will be opened on
the Smoky Hawk at Site C and D. Of this, approximately 0.2 acre will be closed and reseeded.
Any additional prospects will not exceed 0.1 acre.
Proposed 2012 Reclamation:
Approximately 60 ponderosa pine, 50 chokecherry, and 40 aspen will be further planted on Site A
and B on the Smoky Hawk. Additional reseeding will be accomplished on areas that are not
showing good growth.
Any test pits that may be opened during 2012 will be filled, recontoured, and reseeded.
