Task 4 -ADDITIONAL CONCRETE - FLUME <br /> In addition to the above described work, a two (2) inch thick layer of concrete may be poured <br /> over the entire surface of the concrete flume. The volume of concrete necessary is estimated <br /> at 38 cubic yards of additional concrete. Concrete shall be 3,000 PSI, and may either be <br /> delivered or mixed on site. Concrete mixture ratios shall be delivered to the PROJECT <br /> MANAGER. The surface must be thoroughly cleaned, and a bonding agent applied prior to <br /> pouring the concrete. Due to anticipated cold weather conditions, CONTRACTOR shall supply <br /> and install insulation blankets. <br /> WORK SEQUENCE <br /> Work is anticipated to proceed as follows: <br /> - Demolition of concrete headwalls which anchor the steel culvert; <br /> - Removal of steel culvert from the flume; <br /> - Diversion of Dutch Creek into a pipe or other suitable channel within the confines <br /> of the Dutch Creek Flume; <br /> - Anchor rebar to floor of flume; <br /> - Pour concrete within flume; <br /> - Remove temporary diversion channel from flume. <br /> EQUIPMENT <br /> The following equipment is needed to complete the work: <br /> Tracked loader or dozer with minimum 6 ft. blade width (snow removal) <br /> Boom truck or Crane (steel culvert removal) <br /> - Caterpillar 416B backhoe\loader or 74 fhp equivalent (rock removal) <br /> PROJECT SCHEDULE <br /> The project is to begin on October 9, 1995, and is scheduled for completion in eight (8) working <br /> days. <br /> 4 <br />
