NGWA, Dublin, Ohio, 1992) . R.D. Piland and Associates
Consultants ' methodology for completing this environmental site
assessment meet or exceed the AGWSE guidance and meet or exceed
the current standards of practice.
The activities associated with this assessment were those
normally associated with Phase I Environmental Site Assessments.
No work beyond these Phase I activities was completed. As is
discussed in Section 5, based upon the findings of this
assessment, R.D. Piland and Associates Consultants recommends
further assessment prior to the disposition of this property.
2.3 SCOPE
To evaluate the potential for environmental concerns at this
site, R.D. Piland and Associates Consultants performed the
following tasks:
Task 1: Records Search. Topographical maps and
published geological and hydrogeological data were
reviewed to establish the site environmental setting.
Records of state and federal environmental agencies
were reviewed to determine whether this or nearby sites
are the subject of ongoing or past regulatory action.
Task 2: Site Survey. A walk-through site
reconnaissance and interviews with persons familiar
with the site was conducted to determine past site uses
and to develop an understanding of the existing
environmental conditions at the site.
Task 3: Interim Reporting. The early indications of
this study were verbally reported to Steven Renner, of
the State of Colorado Department of Mines and Geology,
on 15 June 1993.
Task 4: Analyses and Report Preparation. All
information that was obtained during Tasks 1 and 2 was
evaluated and compiled into this report. This report
documents all of the work activities that were
completed, and provides the findings and
recommendations for this Phase I Environmental Site
Assessment.
Submittal of this report completes R.D. Piland and Associates
Consultants ' scope of work on this project.
8
