(Echo Bay Mines) in
Silverton Colorado.
By making the company plug the portals in the mines it is a big mistake,
it will be putting an end to all of our lively-hood, and we will loose
all of our history.
The water coming through the mine is not at all what we should worry
about, the water is already contaminated naturally.
The restrictions and regulations on any mining company in our area are
so strict that they cause economic hardship on our community.
I ask that you pardon Sunnyside Gold from any further accountability
and you give considerations to the mining industry and the towns that it
serves, and work to promote changes in legislation.
Sincerely,
William T. Rhoades
October 1 , 1993
