Only one water right exists on the main stem of
Cement Creek. This is the Conaway Pump, a conditional water right
for . 50 cfs. Closing the tunnel would not adversely effect this
right.
Terry Tunnel flows to Eureka Creek which is not over-appropriated.
No water rights exist on Eureka Creek.
Both Cement Creek and Eureka Creek are tributary to the Animas
River which is not over-appropriated. Shutting off flows this
small would not be noticed on the Animas River nor would water
rights be adversely effected.
cc: Larry Perino, Sunnyside Superintendent-Technical Services
Allen Sorenson, CDMG
Krishna Murthy
Division 7 Office
