Doezfez:
Enclosed with this letter is the for the Sunnyoide
Mine and Mayflower Mill - 1989 reportjnq year . The Technical
Revision for modifying the reclamation schedule to accelerate the
reclamation of Tailings Ponds #I and #2 and delaying Lake Emma
reclamation has not been submitted with the Annual Report as
suggested in your June 8 / 1990 letter, because of the extended
delay this would cause in submitting the report. Submitting the
TB will take several months because of the lack of technical
information available to base a realistic time schedule on for
reclaiming Tailings Ponds #1 and #3 . Currently technical data is
being gathered (by a 9eotechuical engineering firm) on Tailings
Pond #2 . This data will be used to develop a reclamation plan
and realistic time schedule for implementing the plan. The
tentative schedule for submitting this TD is February 15, 199I .
Please advise me if you anticipate the general reclamation
concept outlined to you (during your inspection visit) for
Tailings Pond #2 and the rescheduling of reclamation priorities
might require more than a TR. In order to effectively plan our --I
reclamation work for the I991 construction season, we will have |
|
to know whether we will be reclaiming the "Lake Emma Hole" as
committed to in our approved plan or diverting our resources to
Tailings Ponds #2 and/or #1 by March 30 , 199I . If you can
foresee any roadblocks , please advise.
Thank you for your help and I will be looking forward to working
with you on the TR and reclamation plan to be submitted .
Sincerely,
Larry Perion
Superintendent-Technical Services
LP\taj
Enclosure
