These <br />measures will control off -site water quality impacts during surface exploration drilling <br />operations. <br />As required by the Mined Land Reclamation Act and the implementing regulations of <br />the Mined Land Reclamation Board, Gold Hill Minerals, Inc will post a reclamation <br />bond adequate to reclaim the surface exploration drill pads and core holes. In addition, <br />Gold Hill Mineral, Inc will complete site reclamation as committed to in the NOI <br />submitted to the DRMS for approval. A reclamation bond may only be released by the <br />DRMS when an applicant demonstrates to the DRMS it has met the terms and <br />conditions of its approved DRMS permit and the Mined Land Reclamation Board Rules <br />and Regulations relating to site reclamation. <br />➢ Site generated toxins - Notice of Intent, Section 3.1.5(5) states, "All <br />refuse due to exploration drilling operations will be removed and disposed of in an <br />approved facility off -site. No acid forming or toxic producing materials are expected. <br />All core hole drill cuttings will be buried in the cuttings pits, backfilled, compacted, the <br />topsoil replaced, then seeded and mulched. For those drill pads within the road right -of- <br />way, only backfilling, grading, and compaction will occur." <br />• Harry Hempy: <br />➢ Impacts to water quality and quantity — This is a short duration surface <br />exploration operation. The Notice of Intent, Section 3.1.3(2) in part states, "As part of <br />our POO submitted to the USFS, we have committed to follow the measures as <br />described in the `U.S. Forest Service Handbook, Rocky Mountain Region (Region 2) <br />Denver, Colorado — FSH 2509.25 Watershed Conservation Practices Handbook, Chapter <br />10 — Management Measures & Design Criteria' for storm water runoff and erosion <br />control." These measures will control off -site water quality impacts during surface <br />exploration drilling operations. Once drill is complete, the drill pads will be reclaimed <br />according to the commitments in Section 3.1.5, 3.1.9, 3.1.10 and Attachment I, Weed <br />Control Program of the NOI. <br />Section 3.1.7 Groundwater — Specific Requirements indicates ground water is well <br />below the locations of the proposed drill pads and core holes.
