4th Quarter/December 1998 Monthly Report <br /> Page 2 <br /> ♦ Sunnyside Mine Pool Mitigation - Alkaline solution Injection <br /> This project was not active in December or the 4tn quarter <br /> of 1998. The water pool pH, at the American Tunnel <br /> bulkhead, was 4. 08 and the bulkhead pressure was 368 psi <br /> at month and quarter end. <br /> Sunnyside will continue to monitor these parameters. <br /> "B List" Projects <br /> ♦ Columbus Mine Portals -Mine Waste Dumps <br /> ♦ London Mine Portals - Waste Dumps <br /> Work, permitting or arrangement for access is not planned <br /> until it becomes evident that the work plans for these <br /> projects require implementation. <br /> ♦ Mayflower Facility - Upland Hydrological Control <br /> Sunnyside has obtained an access agreement (copy attached) <br /> for all planned work not on land owned or controlled by <br /> Sunnyside. With this access agreement and Sunnyside's land <br /> ownership over the rest of the land area involved, <br /> Sunnyside has legal right-of-entry to implement the work <br /> plan for this project. A Technical Revision to Sunnyside's <br /> MLR permit (M-77-378) has been submitted and approved by <br /> DMG for all planned work within the MLR permit boundary. <br /> A Stormwater Permit Certification (COR-040054)Modification <br /> has been submitted and accepted that expands the <br /> stormwater permit area to include the project area. <br /> There was no activity on this Project in December due to <br /> snow-cover. During the 4t quarter, the drainage <br /> interception structure and lined ditch for drainage c were <br /> completed and the lined ditch for drainages a and b was <br /> started. <br /> Snow-cover stopped progress on this project and progress <br /> pictures were not taken due to the snow-cover. <br /> Work will resume on this project in the spring. <br />
