Box 177
Silverton, Colorado 81433
RE: Sunnyside Gold Corporation' s "Sunnyside Mine" ,
Permit No. M-77-378, San Juan County
Dear Mr. Perino:
The technical revision addressing acid production mitigation plans for the
temporary waste rock storage piles was received on September 23, 1988.
As discussed in our September 30, 1988 telephone conversation, the revision
has been approved. Additionally, the following clarifications were offered:
1 . The biannual (June & September) application of the Pro Mac 2000SB
will occur each year the temporary stockpiles remain in place.
Yearly composite samples will be taken, analyzed for pH and
Thiobacillus ferrooxidans density. Additionally we discussed the
posse i 1ty o co ecting pile effluent to further monitor the
mitigation plans effectiveness.
Upon additional thought, you may want to record the wasterock
deposition depth between June and September treatments.
2. I will contact Warren Maierhofer with BF Goodrich to ascertain
additional product specifics, what "parts" signifies, and a copy of
the analysis of the wasterock and diagnosis used to determine final
treatment.
Please contact me if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
Camille M.
