OCT 13 1987
'WINED LAN
SUNNY OE G GOLD
DZI GRAM,r! -;©4 r)t°
A
P.O. Box 177 .Silverton, CO 81433
Phone (303) 387-5533 .Telecopy (303) 387-5310
Ms . Camille Farrell
Colorado Department of Natural Resources
Mined Land Reclamation Division
1313 Sherman Street
Denver, Colorado 80203-2273
Dear Camille :
On September 24, 1987 Sunnyside Gold Corp. (SGC) submitted a
Notice of Intent To Conduct Prospecting Operations in the
Sunnyside Basin of San Juan County. As a footnote to that
Notice SGC will plug all drill holes from sites 1A, 1B, 2 ,
3A, 3B, 3C, and 4 unless the hole is to be reentered at a
later date in order to gather additional information. In
this case the hole will be cased to prevent collapse and
facilitate plugging before abandonment. The remaining drill
sites and associated holes will be mined through. In
addition, these holes will be shallow and it is expected
that no contact with ground water will be made . Should any
of these drill holes , which are not planned to be plugged,
contact water they will be plugged before abandonment.
Plugging will be by neat cement in the uppermost 6 feet of
competent hole . The hole below and above will collapse soon
after withdrawal .
If I can provide any additional information on this matter
please call . I look forward to your Sunnyside Basin site
visit on October 28 , 1987.
Sincerely,
SUNNYSIDE GOLD CORP.
Frank W. Bergstrom
Environmental Coordinator
