ESTIMATED DATES OF COMMENCEMENT AND COMPLETION:
Commencement: August , 1987
Completion*: December 1987
5.* MINERAL(S) AND/OR RESOURCE(S) BEING INVESTIGATED: gold, silver, lead, zinc, copper
6. TYPE OF OPERATION:
Describe the type of operations which will be undertaken in conducting
the prospecting operations. Include equipment to be used, access and
site construction requirements, type of disturbance (drill holes,
trenching, -- shafts, -etc.) , anticipated relationship to surface and
subsurface water (proximity to streams, penetration of ground water
aquifers) , sampling procedures (fluid, bulk, geophysical , etc. ) and any
other pertinent information (attach additional page, if needed) .
Access will be by dozer over existing county and private roads and undisturbed
grounds. The blade will not be lowered on public lands. Drill sites will be leveled
with the dozer to a roughly 40x40 foot pad after topsoil (if present) is pushed to the
side. No drilling will take place in any stream course and a portable mud pit will
be used to keep drilling fluids away from surface and ground waters. Continuous
coring will be employed for sampling, and no cutting will be deposited on the surface.
Drilling fluids will consist of water or water with soap.
7. RECLAMATION MEASURES:
State -the measures to be taken to reclaim any affected land, and/or
permanently abandon any drill hole, consistent with the applicable
requirements of Rule 5 and Rule 6 and any applicable regulations
promulgated thereunder by the Board (attach additional page, if needed) .
The rig and other equipment will be removed from the site, any oily materials will
then be dozed under the surface at least 12 inches. Topsoil (if present) will be
pushed back over the site, and the site will be reseeded with the approved alpine
seed mixture contained within Exhibit E - Reclamation Plan of the Consolidated Permit
(112) Application for the Sunnyside Mine and Mill (p. E:3 through E:5) , Permit
no, M-77-378. No drill hole abandonment is planned as all holes are being used for
ore body identification, and they will be mined out. Should any hole flow proper -
procedures as stated in rule 5 will be followed.
