May 24, 2012 C -1982- 056 /Foidel Creek Mine JDM
SIGNS AND MARKERS — Rule 4.02:
All mine identification signs, topsoil markers, stream buffer signs, and disturbed area markers observed were in
the correct location and displayed the required infonnation. No problems were noted with the exception of the
following:
- Disturbed area markers were installed along the 16LT road since the last inspection. These markers will need to
be re- installed to delineate the correct disturbance boundary approved in the Foidel Creek Permit.
TOPSOIL — Rule 4.06 Removal 4.06.2; Substitute Materials 4.06.4(4); Storage and Protection 4.063;
Redistribution 4.06.4:
Topsoil redistribution has been completed at the Fish Creek Tipple site. A total of five topsoil depth
measurements were taken during this inspection. The topsoil depths were an average of 9.5" on the site.
The following topsoil stockpiles throughout the site will need to be addressed:
- The topsoil stockpile along the 19RT access road will need to be managed for weeds. Both houndstounge and
whitetop were observed. This pile may require additional interseeding to aid in the stability of the pile.
- The recent placement of the topsoil at the topsoil stockpile on the 6MN pad will require seeding to establish a
good stability controlled cover.
- The topsoil stockpile along the Fish Creek Borehole access road will require weed management and reseeding.
DOCUMENTS RECEIVED April 2012 DMR, Correspondence letter from CPW for MR261
Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year: 9
Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year: 4
Page 6 of 8
