F, Suite 101 Division of Minerals&Geology �uran9e <br /> Durango, CO 81301 SionofWNi fIt& <br /> L �cr <br /> RE: File No. M-77-378, San Juan County <br /> Bernd Reduction Request and Permit Area Reduction Request <br /> Dear Mr. Erickson: <br /> Sunnyside Gold Corporation (SGC), after reviewing MLR permitted acreage, reclamation <br /> progress, and existing bond, has concluded that; <br /> 1) the permit acreage should be reduced because some acreage has not been and will not be <br /> disturbed and these areas will not be needed for operation in the future. <br /> 2) some acreage may be eligible for release due to successful implementation of the reclamation <br /> plan and if not, SGC needs to know any deficiencies so they can be corrected. <br /> 3) the cost of completing reclamation will be significantly lower than the bond amount due to <br /> reclamation plan implementation from 1991 to the present without a corresponding <br /> bond reduction for work completed. The bond should be lowered to reflect the actual <br /> completed work. <br /> Therefore, SGC submits this request for permit acreage reduction, acreage release due to <br /> successful reclamation according to the reclamation plan, and reduction of bonding requirements <br /> to reflect the actual remaining costs of site reclamation. <br /> Attached are revised Exhibit A - Legal Description, Exhibit L -Reclamation Costs sections of <br /> Permit M-77-378 that reflect the requested changes and area maps showing existing permit <br /> boundaries and proposed boundaries. These are the only permit sections affected by this <br /> submittal. <br /> Following is an area by area summary of, <br /> 1) requested acreage reduction. <br /> 2) description of activity creating disturbances to be reclaimed. <br /> 3) completed reclamation. <br />
