The original plan called for the multiple lift longwall <br /> mining experiment to be in the No . 3 Mine with an intensive <br /> monitoring netw,,rk established above that location. When <br /> the program was shifted to the No . 1 Mine, DOE removed the <br /> network of monitoring monuments as indicated in this plan. <br /> When multilift mining commences in the No . 1 Mine, DOE plans <br /> to install a similar pattern of monitoring monuments above <br /> that area .
