Aerial
photos were taken by Harry Ranney of CDRMS on May 3, 2012. Images were downloaded on May 7, 2012.

The weather appeared clear and dry based on the aerial images. The aerial images focused on the areas previously
identified by the surface landowner as having subsidence features. These features are located west of the RDA,
and east of Fremont County Road #15 near the Thompson Ranch buildings.

PROCESSING WASTE/COAL MINE WASTE PILES Rule 4.10 and 4.11 Drainage Control; Surface
Stabilization; Placement:
No instability or gully formation was observed from the aerial photo of the RDA.

SUBSIDENCE Rule 4.20:
The aerial photos were taken of the area of the mine from the Thompson Ranch buildings on the South
north to FCR #15 in the vicinity of the previously identified subsidence holes. 6 holes were documented in
December 2011 located east of Newlin Creek and South of the reconstructed drainage at a reclaimed surface pit
located south of the Thompson Ranch driveway.

The landowner has expressed concern regarding trespass motorcyclists entering property near the subsidence
holes. Dirt paths were visible from the aerial photos in the grassy areas near the subsidence holes.

The holes are in a heavily wooded bounded on the west by Newlin Creek. Newlin Creek bed is very rocky with
steep rocky banks. It would be highly unlikely that trespass vehicles could enter the subsided area from the west.

Dirt paths are also noted to the NW of the holes in the grassy area between county road #15 and the wooded
Newlin Creek bed area. These tracks do not enter the wooded area and remain on the north side of Newlin Creek.
Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year: 9
Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year: 3

26
Page of
