The applicant shall be responsible for compliance with this plan, but the State
Engineer's Office may also pursue the landowner for eventual compliance. The required
fee of $257 for the substitute water supply plan has been accepted as receipt no.
3653417.
PLAN OPERATION
No ground water was exposed in this pit prior to January 1, 1981. A 4 -acre pond
exits on the site and has well permit no. 57014 -F, Well ID No. 1406563. No mining or
diversion of water for operations is anticipated for this plan year; however, this plan is
necessary to replace evaporation depletions. You have stated that the applicant may
resume mining of the site if additional replacement water can be obtained. This plan
must be amended before any other diversions of water occur or mining is resumed.
DEPLETIONS
You have provided a table showing the net evaporation caused by the pit is
14.06 acre -feet (as shown in the attached Table 1). The pit is approximately 500 feet
from the Arkansas River and causes lagged depletions. The lagged depletions are also
shown on Table 1 and amount to 13.90 acre -feet for this plan year.
Office of the State Engineer
1313 Sherman Street, Suite 818 • Denver, CO 80203 • Phone: 303 - 866 -3581 • Fax: 303 - 866 -3589
http: / /water.state.co.us
