Box 773598 <br />Steamboat Springs, Colorado 80477 <br />PUBLIC NOTICE <br />Twentymile Coal, LLC (TC), 29515 Routt County Road 27, Oak Creek, Colorado 80467, has <br />submitted an application for a Technical Revisions (TR) to the Foidel Creek Mine, Permit Number C- <br />82 -056. The revision (TR12 -79) requests a bond reduction to address an error in calculating the <br />reclamation bond liability which occurred during the Mid -Term Permit Review. <br />The mine permit area encompasses approximately 19,940 acres, located approximately 23 miles <br />southwest of Steamboat Springs on Routt County Road 33, and approximately 7.3 miles northwest of <br />Oak Creek on Routt County Road 27. Mine offices and major surface facilities are located adjacent to <br />Foidel Creek, near the intersection of these two roads. The mine permit area is covered by the Cow <br />Creek, Dunkley, Milner, Mount Harris, Oak Creek, and Rattlesnake Butte USGS 7.5 minute <br />quadrangle maps. The lands affected by the proposed revision fall within the current Mine Permit <br />Area, which includes all or portions of Sections 7 through 9, T4N, R86W; T5N, R86W, except <br />Sections 34 through 36; and Sections 13, 22 through 24, 25 through 27, and 34 through 36, T5N, <br />R87W. TC owns or controls the surface and coal within the Permit Area, and surface and coal owners <br />for these areas include TC, the State of Colorado, the USDI- Bureau of Land Management, NRC -001, <br />LLC, Camilletti & Sons, the Hunter Family Trust, William and Janice Rogers, John and Hillary Rice, <br />Twentymile Sheep Company, LLC, Myron Walker Trust, Paul Swisher, Ashley Investments, LLC, <br />Gulf Oil Corporation, and the Ruth McCollister Trust. The ownership, precise location, and <br />boundaries of lands within the Permit are identified on pages 2.03 -13 through 2.08 -18 and 2.03 -22 and <br />2.03 -23.1, and Maps 1 and 2, of the Mine Permit Application Package (PAP), and are included in this <br />public notice by reference. <br />Copies of the PAP, including the referenced Technical Revision applications, (less confidential <br />material) are available for inspection at the mine office and the office of the Colorado Division of <br />Reclamation, Mining, and Safety.
