Pineda <br />Director <br />The Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety hereby issues notice, in accordance with Title 34, <br />Article 33, Section 118, Paragraph 3, of the Colorado Revised Statutes, that on May 17, 2012, an <br />application to renew an existing permit to conduct coal mining operations at the Munger Canyon <br />Mine was considered complete for the purposes of filing. All review and comment periods as <br />provided in the Colorado Surface Mining Reclamation Act and the Rules initiate from this date of <br />filing. <br />CAM Mining, LLC proposes to continue Underground coal mining and /or reclamation operations <br />on land located approximately 18 miles North of Loma, Colorado in Munger Canyon (mine site) <br />and 1/2 mile east of Loma (rail loadout site). The permit area is further described as follows: <br />Mine site: Portions of Sections 27, 28, 29, T7S, R102W, 6th P.M. <br />Rail Loadout: Portions of Section 34, T2N, R3W, Ute Meridian. Portions of Section 3, TIN, <br />R3W, Ute Meridian. <br />The above- mentioned tracts of land are shown on USGS 7.5 minute Quadrangle map of Howard <br />Canyon and Garvey Canyon (Mine Area) and Mack (Loadout Area). <br />This application would allow for renewal of a valid existing permit for the Munger Canyon Mine <br />and Loma Loadout, Coal Mining and reclamation Permit No. C- 1981 -020. <br />A copy of the renewal application is available for public inspection at the Mesa County Clerk and <br />Office of Office of <br />Mined Land Reclamation Denver • Grand Junction • Durango Active and Inactive Mines <br />
