Pineda <br />Director <br />The Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety hereby issues notice, in accordance with Title 34, Article 33, <br />Section 118, Paragraph 3, of the Colorado Revised Statutes, that on May 17, 2012, an application to renew an existing <br />permit to conduct coal mining operations at Munger Canyon Mine was considered complete for the purposes of filing. <br />All review and comment periods as provided in the Colorado Surface Mining Reclamation Act and the Rules initiate <br />from this date of filing. <br />CAM Mining, LLC proposes to continue Underground coal mining and/or reclamation operations on land located <br />approximately 18 miles North of Loma, Colorado in Munger Canyon (mine site) and 1/2 mile east of Loma (rail <br />loadout site). The permit area is further described as follows: <br />Mine site: Portions of Sections 27, 28, 29, T7S, R102W, 6th P.M. <br />Rail Loadout Portions of Section 34, T2N, R3W, Ute Meridian. Portions of Section 3, TIN, R3W, Ute Meridian. <br />The above - mentioned tracts of land are shown on USGS 7.5 minute Quadrangle map of Howard Canyon and Garvey <br />Canyon (Mine Area) and Mack ( Loadout Area). <br />This application would allow for renewal of a valid existing perinit for the Munger Canyon Mine and Loma Loadout, <br />Coal Mining and reclamation Permit No. C- 1981 -020. <br />A copy of the renewal application is available for public inspection at the Mesa County Clerk and Recorder, 200 S. <br />Spruce Street, Grand Junction, CO 81501.
