Compliance With Mine Plan <br />N - Support Facilities Not On -site <br />R - Other <br />N - Special Categories Of Mining <br />N - Processing Waste <br />N - Topsoil <br />COMMENTS <br />This was a partial inspection of the Hawk's Nest Mine conducted by Jim Stark of the Colorado Division of <br />Reclamation, Mining and Safety. The Hawk's Nest Mine permit was revoked and the bond was forfeited. <br />Reclamation was completed by the Division. The weather was warm and sunny and the ground was dry. <br />BACKFILL and GRADING — Rule 4.14 Contemporaneous Reclamation 4.14.1; Approximate Original Contour <br />4.14.2; Highwall Elimination 4.14.1(2)(f); Steep Slopes 4.14.2, 4.27; Handling of Acid and Toxic Materials <br />4.14.3; Stabilization of Rills and Gullies 4.14.6: <br />- The backfilled and regraded East and West Portal areas remain stable. There was no settling of the backfill noted <br />and no erosional problems noted. The East Portal area, which was purchased by the Ragged Mountain Fire <br />Protection District for a new fire station, has been staked with the location of the building. It is unclear when the <br />construction of the building will start. <br />RECLAMATION SUCCESS - Rule 4.15, Rule 3: <br />- The entire site has good vegetative cover, including numerous grasses, forbs and shrubs.
