drainage area, the Rational Method of analysis was used to estimate
storm water discharges for the required storm frequencies.
The design of the total drainage system for both general areas will
provide structures for precipitation events and storm interval fre-
quencies meeting the requirements of local, state and federal regula-
tions and maintain or enhance the surface water quality in the
drainage basin. -The objectives of the design is to provide a system
that will:
a) minimize erosion and sedimentation problems;
b) maintain or enhance the pre-development surface
water quality;
c) - provide an efficient system of drainage of
runoff from specified storm events that is as
economical, efficient and easily maintained
as practicable; and
d) provide a degree of protection to downstream
facilities by detention of peak flows from
severe storms.
• 8
