I certify that at the point where the light use
road from No. 1 Mine to No. 3 Mine crosses the north fork
of Dutch Creek it creates negligible environmental harm.
This area is all rock, and as it is close to the head waters ,
the flow is minimal. The construction of a culvert on this
rock bench would result in more environmental degradation
than to utilize it as a shallow ford. This road is used
only rarely during summer months (July to October) .
For these reasons we request approval of an
alternate design standard on this stream crossing.
