Based on
the initial plans for Mines 1 and 2 submitted December 28, 1979, and responses
to a staff adequacy letter received April 11, 1980 and May 8, 1980, the
Division is now in a position to make a finding of compliance with all.
applicable regulations and as such is giving approval to the drainage and
sediment control plans for Mines 1 and 2.
With respect to Mine 5, there is still some confusion with the overflow
diversion system discussed on Page 5, Item 7 of Brook Wilson's May 3, 1980
letter (the maps for Mine 5 and the haul road drainage system don' t agree) .
Additionally, addenda sheets A-r, A-5 and A-6 referenced in the May 5, 1980
letter was not included. At such time as these discrepancies are solved, the
Division will also be prepared to approve the drainage and sediment control
system for Mine 5.
The plans for Mine 1 and 2 will be presented to the Board for ratification
of Division approval at the May 29, 1980 Board :Meeting.
Please call if you have any ,questions,
Sincerely,
Dean R.
