Attached are three (3) copies of this report.
The conclusions drawn from this study are:
1. The sediment and runoff from the 4 disturbed pad areas can
be diverted and conveyed to a sediment pond via an 1,120 foot long
12" diameter OP storm sewer and ditch system. A concrete manhole
-is to be constructed where two culverts join.
2. Three culverts are required to divert sediment and runoff
beneath the haul road.
3. Undisturbed area sediment and runoff from areas above Mine 1
can be diverted by a second storm sewer system ber_eath the active
mL a pad area and away from an active avalanche path area.
4. This recommended system of culverts, storm sewer and ditches,
and sedimentation pond is sufficient to manage runoff and sediment
developed by a 10-year, 24-hour Type II Storm.
l7-
