COAL BASIN MINE PERMIT APPLICATION
MID-CONTINENT RESOURCES, INC.
CARBONDALE, COLORADO
CHAPTER II
MINE OPERATION PLAN
A. OPERATION PLAN - ESTIMATED AREA FOR
LIFE OF OPERATION
1 . General.
Mid-Continent mines coal from two seams, separated by approximately 450 vertical
feet. A chronological listing of these revisions,
from 1982-1987, is included as App. II-B-4.
The most significant changes to Mid-Continent's operations have resulted from the
Adit/Rock Tunnel Project, and the new refuse disposal area. Calculations, designs,
supporting data and background materials generated in planning these projects, in
1
