Alluvial well PAW -9a will be located down gradient of the proposed <br />ventilation shaft (as proposed with Technical Revision 64). The alluvial wells will be used as <br />monitoring wells in order to insure compliance with Rule 4.05.13. Both wells will be 2 inch <br />diameter PVC. PAW-la will be drilled to about 40 feet, and PAW -9a will be drilled to about 20 <br />feet. A track mounted drill rig will be used to drill the monitoring wells, therefore no new roads <br />are required to access the holes. <br />An additional upstream surface water monitoring point (PRS -1a) will be used to gather water <br />quality data upstream of all mine disturbance.
