The permit area appeared to be dry; all but a few small
patches of snow have melted off. Activity observed was limited to slide repair operations in the vicinity of Pond
016.
BACKEILL and GRADING Rule 4.14 1111 Contemporaneous Reclamation 4.14.1;Approximate Original Contour
4.14.2;Highwall Elimination 4.14.1(2)69; Steep Slopes 4.14.2, 4.27;Handling of Acid and Toxic Materials
4.14.3;Stabilization of Rills and Gullies 4.14.6:
It appeared that maintenance work had been done on a small feeder drainage entering 006 Gulch from the
northeast,upstream of Stock Tank T5. The major drainages looked to be in good condition,the exception being
the southern area drainages that were damaged last year and will be repaired this field season.
Regraded areas appeared to be stable, and there were no new cracks or slides apparent.
HYDROLOGIC BALANCE -Rule 4.05❑[]Drainage Control 4.05.1, 4.05.2, 4.05.3; Siltation Structures 4.05.5,
4.05.6; Discharge Structures 4.05.7, 4.05.10;Diversions 4.05.4;Effluent Limits 4.05.2; Ground Water
Monitoring 4.05.13; Surface Water Monitoring 4.05.13;Drainage Acid and Toxic Materials 4.05.8;
Impoundments 4.05.6, 4.05.9; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18:
Pond 005, 006, 016, and 017 held water. Stock tanks T5,T18,T20,T26, and 27 held water. T25 was dry;
it was breached last season to alleviate any possible pore pressure contributing to slope instability near Pond 017.
The seep below the slide near Pond 017 was running into Pond 017.
SLIDES and DAMAGE-Rule 4.12:
An excavator and a dozer were working in the Pond 016A slide area. Backfilling of the former Pond
016A is nearly complete.
The existing slide areas(Pit ramp,Pond 016A,Pond 017,oil well road,pump house) did not appear to have
Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year: 13
Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year: 3
Page 2 of 6
