From: Hernandez, Daniel Sent: Monday, May 14, 2012 9:05 AM To: Pineda, Loretta; Berry, David Cc: Stark, Jim Subject: FW: DRMS to be a Coop Agency on USFS West Elk EIS'es Good morning, Loretta and Dave — Last Friday, I forwarded the two attached letters to Tom McClure with the US Forest Service regarding our agreement to participate in the preparation of the EIS (or the EIS's) for the modification of two federal coal leases associated with Mountain Coal Company's West Elk Mine. Mr. McClure and I spoke by telephone this morning, and he informed me that a draft EIS has already been prepared. Mr. McClure said he hoped a copy of the draft EIS would be sent to me today. He also said that the MOU regarding our participation is in the process of being drafted, and that he hoped a copy of the draft MOU would be sent to me today as well. Dan Daniel I.
