MANAGEMENT <br />On behalf of Bowie Resources, LLC, (BRL), enclosed is an application for a minor <br />revision to install ten gob vent holes and drill three exploration holes. <br />Background <br />Gob vent holes are required over all longwall panels. Six gob vent holes were approved <br />by MR -123. Two were for panel B -11, three for panel B -12 and one was for panel B -13. <br />MR -124 approved a additional gob vent hole for panels B -11 and B -12. BRL has <br />determined that one additional GVB in required for panel 12, four additional gob vent <br />holes are required for panel 13 and five gob vent holes are required for panel 14. <br />Right of Entry <br />Right of entry is granted by BRL's Federal Coal lease subject to analysis of impacts by <br />the surface management agency. GVB -B14A along with about 325 feet of road are <br />located on BLM managed surface. Nine gob vent holes and one exploration hole are <br />located on BRL surface. Exploration holes 2012 -1 and SS -7 and associated roads are <br />located on surface owned by Turkey Track, LLC. BRL and Turkey Track entered into a <br />Surface Access Agreement effective November 15, 2011. A copy of the surface access <br />agreement is enclosed and should be inserted into Volume III, Tab 1. <br />Affected and Disturbed Area <br />There will be 20.3 acres of new disturbance. The affected area will increase 5.7 acres <br />since most of the new disturbance is located over areas to be mined out. <br />
