5.0 CONCLUSION
This review of collected data demonstrates the success and utility of the revegetated areas,
especially given the levels of vegetative ground cover and favorable results with regard to diversity,
herbaceous production, and woody plant density. Inspection of Plates 1 through 18 in comparison to
Plates 19 and 20 provides visual evidence of this utility. The plants in these units are self- sustaining, as
evidenced by observable seed production and new seedling emergence, and the overall site appears
approximately as stable and resistant to erosion as neighboring undisturbed areas (Chart 7 with regard to
bare ground exposure). Overall, the areas for which bond release is requested appear more than capable
of supporting post- mining land uses.
Cedar Creek Associates, Inc. 23 Snowcap Mine - 2011
Phase III Bond Release Evaluation - Year 1
