This may take 5 or more years depending on the <br />economic conditions in the area and the amount of material <br />mined. By the time mining is completed approximately 83% of the <br />total mined land will be reclaimed. As mining ends in any given <br />area only placement of the root zone, resoiling, final grading <br />and shaping of the mined area will be needed. The proposed <br />seedmix will be planted before the first freeze if possible and <br />the area will be monitored for success of revegetation until <br />accepted by the Division for release. If revegetation failures <br />occur prior to release, an analysis of the site will be made and <br />the area will be revegetated again as necessary. <br />RECLAMATION TIMETABLE <br />20 <br />
