RECLAMATION PLAN AND TIMETABLE
EXHIBIT E
RECLAMATION PLAN
The proposed future use is to be rangeland the same as its
current use. Please refer to Options A and B on the ExHIBIT F -
RECLAMATIONPLAN MAPS for the location of the areas discussed in this
text. In the MINING PLAN we explained how mining would take place
on 17.48 acres ± within the permit boundary. In Mining Plan text
we explained there were two options for mining the site depending
on the economic conditions as the site is developed. Details on
the reclamation of each Option are discussed in the text under
that heading.
Options A
Under this option the entire rock deposit will be mined
delighting out the side of the mine except on a section of the
north - central part of the mine. This will leave a 17.17 acre ±
area needing topsoiling and seeding. There will be a minimum of
12 inches of root zone material placed on the underlying shale.
The final mine face will be left in a near vertical state as it
will be stable and the loose overburden above the rock will be
sloped at a rate of 3h to 1v.
It is possible if this option is used much of the hill is
unusable material that will just be spread on the mined area and
revegetated. We are not able to estimate the amount this mate-
rial due to the unknown characteristics of said material. In
that case, we may choose to use some material to backfill against
the rock face leaving a 3:1 slope instead of leaving a vertical
face. The proposed revegetation plan will be used to reclaim the
site.
Option B
If this option is chosen, it will be because there is not an
adequate market for the upper part of the hill and the cost to
strip overburden will reach a break -even point and stripping will
end. That depth is estimated to be 15 feet but may change as
operating costs change and mining technologies advance. The
RECLAMATION PLAN MAP - OPTION B shows how the site will look under this
plan. The rock face will be left near vertical and the area
where overburden was stripped to expose the rock will be sloped
3:1 from the top of the rock face to natural ground. All dis-
turbed area will be resoiled and revegetated according to the
presented plan.
12
