MINING PLAN EXHIBIT D (coNT)
shown on the RECLAMATION PLAN MAP - OPTION A - EXHIBIT F and Reclamation PLAN
MAP - OPTION B - EXHIBIT F .
Optin A
In this option, mining will happen as described above. The
hill will be removed and any non - saleable material will be placed
on the mine floor and revegetated. This will leave a level bench
on top of the ridgeline that will be reclaimed as discussed in
the Reclamation Plan. The only slopes left in the mined area
will be along the north side and the floor will have a gentle
crown running along its length to preserve the existing drainage
patterns. Under Option A, when mining is done a level floor area
covering approximately 17.46 acres ± will remain. The floor
elevation shown on the OPTIONAMAP may be higher depending on how
much material from the hill will be placed on the mine floor.
Option B
In this option, mining would progress as noted above except
that the overburden depth may become too deep to warrant contin-
ued mining. The depth at which this decision is made is unknown
at this time. The OPTIONBMAP shows what it will look like when
15 feet of overburden is the limit. The hard rock mining face
would be left nearly vertical and the slope on the overburden
would be sloped 3h:lv, and seeded This sloping plan is presented
since the rock being mined is structurally sound enough to be
stable with the steeper slope. This is consistent with observa-
tions of the existing rock outcroppings and previously mined
areas on the site now. Under Option B, when mining is done a
level floor area covering approximately 10.48 acres ± will
remain.
As mining approaches the Plant Site a section of the natu-
ral gasline will be relocated to the mine floor and a new access
road will be built west of the mining face. The approximate
locations of the moved gasline and road are shown on both options
of the RECLAMATION PLAN MAP - EXHIBIT F .
Reclamation will run concurrent with mining to reduce the
amount of disturbance at any one time. Due to the nature of this
mine and the expected market demands, it may be 2 years or more
before any reclamation would be necessary. As an example, the
Mining Plan Map depicts how the site would look after approxi-
mately 2 years if 80,000 tons per year were removed from the
8
