is petitioning the Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining, and Safety for the Phase 1
and 3 bond release for portions of its New Horizon Mine permit area located
approximately 2 miles northwest of Nucla, Colorado. The permit number is C -81 -008,
which was issued on May 26, 1983. The current bond is a self bond in the amount of
$5,042,302. Phase 1 release (completed backfilling and grading only) is requested on a
total of 100.16 acres of the New Horizon Mine. Phase 3 (final) bond release for portions
of BB Road and 2700 Road is requested on a total of 7.22 acres (all of 2700 Road and
BB Road east of 2700 Road) within the New Horizon Mine permit area.
