included reductions in the surface and ground water analytical parameter <br />lists. Changes were also made to the frequency of monitoring at surface <br />and ground water monitoring sites. New Well COV11, completed in the fall <br />of 2010, was added to the monitoring program. <br />Field conductivity and pH meters are calibrated prior to each day's use. <br />The conductivity meter is calibrated using a potassium chloride solution <br />with an electrical conductivity in the 1000 to 4000 umhos /cm range. The <br />pH meter is calibrated using NBS traceable buffers with pH values of 7 <br />and 10. Prior to October 1, 1989, all field conductivity values <br />collected at Seneca II monitoring sites were not corrected for <br />temperature (i.e., 25 C) . Field conductivity data starting on October <br />1, 1989 were temperature corrected to 25 C. The formula for correcting <br />non - corrected conductivity data may be found in the 1990 through 1992 <br />AHRs. <br />Seneca instituted in 1995 a new monitoring site numbering system for its <br />new Paradox" water quality database. This new system is detailed in <br />Table A. For convenience sake, this table has been placed at the end of <br />the Table of Contents (see previous page). In addition, Table 3, Summary <br />of Ground Water Monitoring Wells; Table 8, Summary of Surface Water <br />Monitoring Sites; and the Table of Contents of Appendices B through D <br />have all been revised to correlate the old site (and map) name to the <br />new (Paradox) computer name. The new computer name will be used <br />throughout the following text. <br />Meteoroloqical Data <br />Data from the National Climatic Data Center's Hayden Station is used <br />here to evaluate the precipitation trend. These data are provided in <br />Appendix Al. Precipitation data is summarized on Table 2. For this year, <br />25.79 inches of precipitation was measured, which is 8.45 inches (49 %) <br />above the 1971 -2000 average, 17.34 inches.
