As previously indicated, Mid-Continent does not have worker's <br /> compensation insurance, and relied on Pitkin Iron's coverage to keep personnel <br /> working on site. The crew, and their skills. <br /> John Farnum <br /> John Farnum is a heavy equipment operator with many years of experience <br /> operating equipment in the steep slopes of Coal Basin, He is the only employee <br /> allowed to operate the D-8N dozer. <br /> Jim Fortune <br /> Jim Fortune is a professional truck driver, and has a Class A CDL, and is also <br /> competent operating heavy equipment such as loaders, backhoe, etc. <br /> Alvin JaWcek <br /> Alvin Janicek is a mechanic, is a capable welder and is also able to drive dump <br /> trucks, operate backhoe, loaders, etc_ <br /> Lew The mpson <br /> Lew Tho'npson is the environmental coordinator. He has responsibility for the <br /> ongoing Nater sampling, and operates the equipment on site. <br /> Len Wai dlaw <br /> Len War:11aw was the purchasing agent for Mid-Continent. He assists with <br /> equipme rit liquidation, knows the whereabouts of essential parts, piping, etc. He <br /> is also a competent equipment operator. <br /> Jim Acklin <br /> Mike Fortune <br /> Jim Ackl.n and Mike Fortune were hired as laborers to assist with Clean-up of <br /> trash and scrap metal at the Mine #5 site, and other miscellaneous jobs such as <br /> filling and placement of sandbags ('flume project).
