As the M. & E. contract allows them to sell this equipment within three years, we are anxious to complete as much as possible during the summers of 1993 and 1994. At the same time, our schedule will be dictated by the timing of M.& E./King in removing structures, and by availability of funds. The Division stressed at the meeting that we should be careful not to ove•-commit on our reclamation schedule. Thei likely schedule of work during 1993 is as follows: Portal Sealing We've indicated to th-a Division that the foremost priority of work during the next summer construction season will be portal sealing. Raw Coal Storage Area When the ground clears of snow at the raw coal stockpile areas, we plan to push the coal material which is still on the ground up against the cut of the Coal Refuse Pile If this does not require all available equipment, we hope to cover most of the coal refuse pile with topsoil using loaders which belong to Mid-Continent.6 This use of our own equipment should be a considerable savings as the Division's bond calculation assumes equipment rental. #5 Mine Bench We then anticipate grading work on the #5 mine bench area, which can probably be done with Mid-Continent's bulldozer (currently on-site). We'll anticipate use of Mid-Continent's loaders for"borrow" of topsoil. #344 Mine Benches If M. & E. gets Mine Elenches#3 and#4 cleared, we hope to do the grading on these areas as well. This may require rental of equipment. We will, of course, have further discussions with the Division on all of these items. I'll let you know as we progress:.
