Re: 2011 Annual Reclamation Report Review
Bowie No. 2 Mine, Permit No. C- 1996 -083
Dear Mr. Stover:
The Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety (Division) received the Annual Reclamation Report
(ARR) for the Bowie No. 2 Mine on January 19, 2012. The Division has finished its review of the 2011
ARR and has the following comments:
1. In sections (c) – Area Backfilled and Graded and (d) – Area Topsoiled, no values are given.
Please document the acres backfilled, graded and topsoiled in the appropriate sections.
2. Section (e) of the report is to list "the species, location and number of acres of vegetation
planted during that year." The total at the bottom of section (e) is the total area graded and
backfilled. In this section, please list all the species, location and number of acres of
vegetation planted during 2011.
3. Seed tags were not included in this report. Please submit the seed tags of the seed mixes used
for reclamation in 2011.
4. Section (f) of the report is to list the "location, number of acres and date of planting for all
previously revegetated areas." Please list in section (f) of the report the location, number of
acres and date of planting for all areas revegetated prior to 2011.
