3.2.5 Subtask 1-4: Review of Chain-Of-Title Records <br /> A chain-of-title review identifying tract owners for the past 50 <br /> years, was conducted in an attempt to identify previous property <br /> uses which may be associated with environmental concerns. No <br /> such uses could be identified. <br /> 3.3 TASK 2: SITE SURVEY <br /> 3.3.1 Subtask 2-1: Interviews With Former Employees <br /> R.D. Piland and Associates Consultants' understanding of the <br /> operations of the site during the time it was occupied by Pitkin <br /> Iron Limestone Division are based upon interviews with Ms. Diane <br /> Delaney on 28 May 1993, Mr.Greg Nielson on 12 June 1993, and Mr. <br /> Peter Ware on 25 June, 1993. <br /> Ms. Delaney has been part owner of the facility and is familiar <br /> with the operations at the site. She also appears to have a <br /> substantial background in environmental regulations. <br /> Mr. Nielson was an employee of Pitkin Iron for 12 years and <br /> worked at this site in positions which ranged from process <br /> technician to foreman. <br /> Mr. Ware was an employee of Pitkin Iron for approximately 4 years <br /> and is currently the manager of the Carbondale Water and Sewer <br /> System. <br /> 3.3.2 Subtask 2-2: Site Walk-Through <br /> On 12 and 13 June 1993, R.D. Piland and Associates Consultants <br /> completed a walk-through survey (survey) of the subject property. <br /> This survey was completed by Mr. D.R. Smuin of R.D. Piland and <br /> Associates Consultants. The -purpose of this survey was to <br /> visually identify areas of environmental concern. The scope of <br /> this survey included physical verification of the conditions of <br /> the site and adjacent surrounding properties at the time of this <br /> work. <br /> 3.4 TASK 3: INTERIM REPORTING <br /> The preliminary indications of this assessment were verbally <br /> reported to Mr. Steven Renner, of the State of Colorado <br /> Department of Mines and Geology, on 15 June 1993 .
