It will be <br /> necessary to pay the accrued taxes on the property under the terms <br /> of the sale, amounting to between S50,000 and $60,000. <br /> The balance of S240,000/S250,000 will be paid at closing_ <br /> As you know, at the present time reclamation in Coal <br /> Basin is at .a standstill for lack of funds. <br /> We are ready to proceed with reclamation on an <br /> accelerated basis if arrangements can be made to contract the work <br /> out and pay the costs incurred from the Rock Dust Plant machinery <br /> proceeds. <br /> We have forwarded to you proposed Contract form; bid <br /> proposal; draft of Contract as between Mid--Continent Resources and <br /> DMG and have done everything we can think of to try to expedite <br /> this reclamation program. <br /> If anything is to be done this summer some kind of <br /> response and some level of cooperation from your department will be <br /> necessary_ <br />
