A pr *125, 2012 C- 1996- 084 /Lorencito Canyon Mine JHB
to rill formation.
NECC has indicated that the shrub exclosure area would be replanted this growing season. Bobby did not have a
definite timeframe of when shrubs would be replanted. Spring conditions seem to be ahead of normal this year
based on temperatures, precipitation, and observations of native vegetation in the surrounding area. Plans for
transplanting shrubs should not be delayed if NECC plans to conduct this activity this Spring.
Limited seeding on areas that need repair for gully formation needs to be conducted in 2012.
Although the reclaimed site is relatively noxious weed free, a very small patch of knapweed was observed high up
on the north slope of parcel N -2. This patch currently consists of several individual rosettes and a handful of dry
standing stalks with seed heads. Active control of small patches of noxious weeds will assist in reducing any
spread of Noxious species on the reclaimed parcels.
SLIDES and DAMAGE - Rule 4.12:
Please note the areas requiring rill and gully repair, and limited inter - seeding as noted in the "Reclamation
Success" section of this inspection.
DOCUMENTS RECEIVED None
OTHER (SPECIFY)
Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year: 7
Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year: 3
Page 4 of 9
